Teagan's Baptism

Time to wake up! Jesus is waiting.

On January 11, 2009, Teagan was baptized at First Presbyterian Church of Howard County. Everyone in the congregation was so surprised she was so calm. The pastor poured water all over her head. It was dripping from all angles and Teagan didn't make a peep. Then the pastor walked her around the sactuary and she still didn't make a peep. The sermon ended up being about the rapturous baptism that Jesus had when the clouds tour apart and God soared in to Jesus. So then I thought, was he trying to make her cry so it would go along with the sermon? I'm sure not!

Well after church there was a certain playoff game for the Giants. Hence the change in wardrobe immediately for Chris.

Then came a wardrobe change for Teagan. Too bad it couldn't bring the Giants more luck. Jake enjoyed it though! He kept swinging his arm in Teagan's face and Teagan kept opening her mouth to suck on it. Too cute. So we eventually tucked his arm underneath her.

Next shot is what I like to call "Robo babies." Aren't stuffed bunnies that interesting to all of us!

Nick and Kristina are 6 months apart. So they made great friends. Even if there was a small difference in size.

Shy boy Zach.

Cheering on the Giants with the cousins - Zach, Juliette, and Kristina. There was quite a bit of rotation in that chair to hold Teagan. Who can resist?

First Haircut

On January 4, Teagan got her first hair cut courtesy of mommy. Mommy was worried about the baby mullet developing as Teagan has crazy growing hair!

Teagan says "Who's hair are you cutting?"

First we have to wash your hair baby. Then allow it to dry. Clothing optional.

Then we entertain you with Football on the TV while we snip away.

Then we have a cute little baby with a cute little do.

Now you are all nice and neat for Jesus. Baptism awaits you on Sunday darling baby.

New Years 2009

Well New Years was not quite as exciting. The first 2 pics are at 5pm. The second 2 are at 10pm. So we went to bed. However, Teagan still has a stuffy nose, so it happened that she woke up at 11:50pm to get a little drink and have her nose suctioned. So Chris and I got to see the ball drop after all. Happy 2009!

You better be good in 2009. Teagan has her eye on you!

(Or is eating her towel after her bath on New Year's day.)

First Christmas

You know the drill by now. Every holiday is multiplied by three for us. So Teagan had 3 first Christmases. We started at my mom's on Christmas day. We went to Christmas Eve service with my mom and then stayed the night there. We waited for my sister and her gang to show up to open presents. Meanwhile we just posed Teagan in as many shots around the tree as possible. Teagan cuddled with Jacob when he arrived. A 3-D version of Polar Express led to the fun pic with 3-D glasses of Nick and Tara (aka Brenda). The day was certainly memorable, even if mommy forgot her Christmas dress and any tights. Daddy drove the hour back home on Christmas night to retrieve the items for Christmas in New Jersey the next day.

Off to New Jersey to spend Friday morning with Nana and Grandpa. We left MD early, so a bath was in order when we got to NJ. Nana certainly didn't mind. Note the Elvis hair-do in the onsie after the bath shots. The aunts, uncles, and cousins arrived later and had much fun holding and playing with Teagan. Teagan also received her first "Giants" gear just in time for the Superbowl!

On Saturday, we went to Chris's cousin Alexis's house to see more relatives and introduce Teagan to many. It was great to see everyone, especially Chris's cousin Brian and his family who were up from North Carolina. The back of Joe was the best we could do to immortalize the volume of his hair-do.

After returning home Saturday night so Daddy could volunteer at church on Sunday morning, we headed to my sisters to have Christmas with my Dad. Petey, Jay's sister's dog, was visiting and very interested in everyone and being on the couch. Note my foot holding him back. KFC was the menu as we were all pretty tired by the end of Sunday.
Overall, a wonderfully busy four days not soon to be forgotten. Couldn't ask for a more wonderful life.
